Liora Mervis

Paediatric Neurological Physiotherapist

Working at Glen Waverley

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Commerce at Monash University, Liora realised her true passion lay in helping people, which led her to pursue a Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. She has a strong interest in paediatrics and early intervention and is passionate about supporting children and families to achieve meaningful goals.

Liora further developed her interest in working with children during her time in musculoskeletal private practice, where she enjoyed supporting young people to build confidence, strength and resilience through movement. She also brings several years of experience as a disability support worker and as an educator in a specialist school for children with autism, giving her a strong understanding of neurodiversity and the importance of working closely with families and the wider support team.

She has a special interest in neurodevelopment and supporting children to explore movement in fun, functional and meaningful ways. Liora is dedicated to creating engaging, play-based therapy sessions that build confidence, independence and participation in everyday activities.

Outside of work, Liora enjoys running, catching up with friends and family, and listening to podcasts.
