National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The NDIS is a national scheme that provides funding to Australians who require early intervention or have a disability to assist them in accessing support and services based on their individual needs.
At Klint Kids, we are able to see patients who are both NDIS self-managed and NDIS planmanaged.
At Klint Kids, we follow the NDIS Price Guide for all clients. From 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2024, each physiotherapy session will cost $193.99.
The cost will cover a 60-minute block. The 60-minutes comprises of 45 minutes of faceto-face time with the child, family, and therapist. The remaining 15 minutes are for the physio to complete necessary documentation, add to home exercise programs and follow up and liaise with health professionals and care team members, as required.
If you would like to find out more regarding the NDIS and your eligibility for this service, you can visit the following link: NDIS Information.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance that covers physiotherapy, you may be eligible to receive a rebate for your physiotherapy appointments. The rebate amount will depend on your private health insurance and the coverage you have. We would recommend contacting your private health insurance prior to your appointment to discuss claimable amounts and any limitations that may apply to your cover.
Medicare
You may be eligible for a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan obtained through your GP. This plan allows you to receive a Medicare rebate for some of your physiotherapy appointments. If your GP determines you are suitable for a CDM, you can receive up to 5 rebates per calendar year to put towards physiotherapy.
